L’arredamento caotico dello studio  rispecchia il disordine mentale di Roderick, infatti vediamo un arredamento trasandato, scomodo ed eccessivo.  Lo studio è caratterizzato da un cupo mobilio e da lunghi tendaggi e tappezzerie. L’atmosfera greve della stanza è accentuata dal colore rosso porpora del rivestimento delle pareti damascate e dagli oggetti  che la riempiono sovraccaricandola.Egli amava leggere,  l’arte e la musica ,difatti numerosi sono i dipinti che ricoprono le mura e notiamo sparsi un po' ovunque nella stanza libri, tele e strumenti musicali.

The chaotic furniture of the studio represents Roderick’s mental disorder , in fact it is uncomfortable, excessive,discomfort. The office is characterized by long curtains, long upholstery. The room’s atmosphere is the red: that’s because the walls are red with damask prints.He loved reading and the art, and we have a lot of paintings in the room.
